Volunteering is a key part of our culture, and our employees are encouraged to do their part for the community. Empire Life employees volunteer in dozens of events, including the United Way Day of Caring and Success by 6 Children’s Corner, the Rose of Hope golf tournament in support of the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario, and the Big Bike for Heart & Stroke. Not to mention all the volunteering they do on their own time for events and organizations near and dear to their hearts.

We’re proud of our employees’ passion and commitment to helping the community, and we’re honoured to recognize two of our many volunteers who make a difference.

We offer a variety of career opportunities coast to coast to help you find the right fit at Empire Life.

“Being able to act as an ambassador with Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario, and being supported by Empire Life through various stages—including a successful brain surgery—have given me so much positivity. I’m grateful to have such an incredible workplace and fantastic co-workers who are willing to hear me speak about my experiences, and who are excited to be part of the Pull Together for Epilepsy fundraiser. It has been heart-warming.”

“My passion for United Way was ignited in 2009 when I joined the Empire Life United Way committee as a campaign co-chair. After that, I helped found United Way KFL&A’s NextGen Committee, a group dedicated to getting the younger generation engaged in community volunteering. When I relocated to our Toronto office, I was recruited to help launch Oakville’s United Way GenNext campaign. I support United Way because it’s the most efficient way to donate time, energy and money. Giving back to the community through United Way is the easiest way to make a difference in the lives of those around you.”
