James (Jim) McKeen, PhD
Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer
Jim joined Empire Life in July 2018 as Chief Technology Officer to provide overall leadership to our IT division.
An experienced IT strategist, Jim came to Empire Life from Queen’s University School of Business where he was a professor emeritus. For the past 25 years, Jim has worked with senior IT teams to build effective IT management systems and delivery models.
Jim completed his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Masters degrees at Queen’s University, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Management Information Systems. Jim currently serves as an Honorary Colonel in the RCAF attached to the Aerospace Warfare Centre located in CFB Trenton.
