Self-service Portal Terms and Conditions of Use
Please read these Terms and Conditions of Use (the "terms and conditions") carefully before checking the box below.
"You" or "your" means the person using or accessing Empire Life self-service portals (the “Portals”). "Empire Life", "we" and "our" means The Empire Life Insurance Company and includes its subsidiaries and affiliates.
By accessing the Portals, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, do not register to use or access the Portals. You are or will be able to register for Portal access if you either own a policy issued by Empire Life or you are a financial advisor distributing and servicing Empire Life customers (“Financial Advisor”). If you cease to be; (i) an Empire Life policy owner; (ii) an Empire Life Financial Advisor; or (iii) do not comply with these terms and conditions, your access to the Portals may be terminated.
If a policy is owned by more than one person who has requested access to the Portals, each policy owner will have the authority to perform any task available in respect of that policy using the Portals.
The available services may change from time to time at our sole discretion and the Portals shall be updated accordingly.
Your use of the Portals is also subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Legal Information section of our web site. The terms of Empire Life's Privacy Policy apply to personal information available to you by accessing the Portals and on Empire Life’s web site. We reserve the right to change any of the terms and conditions that apply to the Portals, at any time without notice. You should review them regularly as you will be deemed to agree to comply with these changes if you continue to use the Portals after they have been changed. You are solely responsible for all actions performed under and through your portal account and you may not allow any other person to use your account or share your login information with any other person. For security purposes, Empire Life may implement limits from time to time on the number of transactions you can make using the Portals. You also agree that we may, at any time, temporarily or permanently suspend the availability of the Portals if required by applicable law, any governmental authority, or if we believe such suspension to be necessary for security purposes (for example, if you input incorrect login information), or to prevent unauthorized use, loss, theft, fraud, or any other liability or damage to you, us, or any other person. In the event of suspension, we will attempt to provide you reasonable notice; however, you understand and agree that the circumstances regarding any unauthorized use, loss, theft, or fraud may dictate that notice is reasonable if given at the time of suspension or in some cases after suspension of use of the Portals.
Even though Empire Life has taken reasonable measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your information available through the Portals, we cannot guarantee the privacy of information you send or receive. We will not be liable for any errors, omissions, or problems of any kind arising from your electronic communication with us.
Empire Life will collect and use technical data from your computer, including but not limited to, your IP address and technical information about your operating system and browser to improve the Portals and provide modifications, new versions, support and other services relating to the Portals or Empire Life products and services.
While you are logged into the Portals cookies or web beacons will be placed on your computer. Cookies and web beacons allow us to keep your session active as well as collect and monitor information about use of the Portals.

Electronic Document Terms of Use
By selecting the electronic documents option from the E-document Settings page of the Client Portal, you agree to receive account notices in electronic form rather than by paper. You may withdraw your consent to receive electronic documents at any time by signing into your Client Portal and selecting “No” to receipt of electronic documents. Empire Life will then have 30 days to switch your account status from electronic document delivery to paper delivery.
Once you have selected electronic document delivery, Empire Life will send notices to your email address on file to alert you that statements or other account documents are available for viewing on the Client Portal. Please ensure that your email address is kept up to date. If you need to change your email address you can contact our customer service team at 1 800 561 1268. Empire Life is entitled to rely on the email address on file until you notify us otherwise.
To access your electronic documents, you will need a recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and web browser installed on your device.
It is your responsibility to review your electronic documents. If you notice any errors please bring those to our attention as soon as possible and, in any event, no later than 30 days after receipt of an account notice. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your advisor or our customer service team.
Co-owners of insurance policies or investment accounts will each be able to access and review the electronic documents applicable to the Empire Life life insurance and insurance investment products co-owned by them.
If Empire Life for whatever reason is unable to deliver statements to you electronically, paper copies of your statements will be sent to your mailing address on file.
