The new benefit is called International Business Travel Medical. It provides coverage to employees and their dependants for emergency medical care and urgent care, while they are working abroad on short term assignments. International Business Travel Medical, or IBTM for short, is part of the Voyageur Global Benefits portfolio, administered by MetLife.

The specialty drug program, part of the Empire Life Actively Managed Drug Solutions portfolio, will be included in new customers’ plans starting June 1, 2017. Current customers will join the program when their policies renew.
