In the event of a disruption in postal service, we will hold all Canada Post mail until service resumes.
- All claims cheques will be couriered to the advisor’s office as usual. If you are expecting a claim cheque, you can also contact usand we can arrange to courier the cheque directly to you.
- All other cheques over $50,000 will be couriered to customers and other financial institutions. The remaining cheques will be held until Canada Post resumes business. If you’re expecting a cheque and it’s urgent, or are interested in signing up for direct deposit for investment policies, please contact us.
Premiums still need to be paid on time, even during a postal strike. Payments can be made through online banking by adding ‘Empire – Individual’ as a payee and including your policy number (e.g. 001234567L), or our Customer Service team can set you up on an Automatic Premium Payment plan.
