(Kingston, ON – February 5, 2020) – For the second consecutive year, The Empire Life Insurance Company (Empire Life) (TSX: EML.PR.A) has been recognized as one of Canada’s top employers, according to Forbes Media.
Each year, Forbes recognizes 300 Canadian companies whose employees speak highly of their organizations and the opportunities and rewards offered to them at work.
“This achievement says as much about our employees as it does about our company,” says David Keneford, Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our most recent employee survey indicated that 89% of our employees say they are proud to work for our company, and 86% would recommend Empire Life as a good place to work. The independent survey, conducted for Forbes by market research company Statista, asks more than 8,000 Canadians working for companies with at least 500 employees whether they would recommend their employer to family and friends. Participants are also asked to give their opinions on a series of statements such as working conditions, salary, potential for development and company image.
