Empire Life moved its travel emergency assistance program to a new service provider, Trident Global Assistance on May 1, 2022. This change applies to group customers with extended health benefits in their group insurance. There is no change in service or cost.

The move to Trident Global Assistance means that plan members need to download a new benefit card, so they have Trident Global Assistance phone numbers when they travel outside their province of residence, after May 1, 2022.  “We’re making excellent progress with plan members downloading their new benefit cards,” said Vanessa Lycos, VP Group Product & Marketing at Empire Life Group Solutions. “Changing service providers requires sound communication, and we’re grateful to plan administrators and advisors for their help.”

Saving a new benefit card is easy

Once logged into the plan member website, plan members simply click “Benefit Cards” on the the menu bar. This generates the new card, which can be downloaded and saved in the way plan members  find most convenient.

Trident Global Assistance is a new player in the travel assistance provider landscape and Empire Life is a part-owner. The Trident Global Assistance team has over 75 years of combined expertise in travel assistance and the operational know-how to provide customers and plan members with 24/7/365 assistance, effective case management, and account management.
