Senior Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer

Kathy was appointed Senior Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer in September 2018 to oversee the company's enterprise-wide risk management program and practices.
She joined Empire Life in 1989 as an actuarial analyst, and after completing her Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries in 2001 and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 2002, joined our group division. She became Vice-President, Group Operations in 2008, and served in several other senior roles including Vice-President and Corporate Actuary, Vice-President, Risk Management, and Vice-President Finance and Chief Actuary, Group Solutions.
Kathy is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in mathematics and business administration.
Kathy is active through the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
